Noida: Bhartiya Janata Party candidate for Noida assembly seat Dr. Mahesh Sharma won the election by 27,000 votes. Bahujan Samaj Party candidate Om Dutt Sharma was second in the race. The owner of Kailash Group of Hospitals Dr. Sharma was always considered as the strongest candidate in the race.
A wave of joy has swept across the supporters of BJP candidate and the party workers of BJP have gathered at the party office and eagerly waiting for the celebration. The workers are busy wishing and congratulating each other for their hard work.
Meanwhile Samajwadi Party candidate Sunil Chaudhary’s slipped at third place after leading in the early hours of counting. Earlier, during the second and third round of counting SP candidate Chaudhary was leading with the margin of 1,000 votes from Dr. Sharma but the statistics went opposite when the fourth round of counting began.
The counting for the Noida assembly began at 8:20 a.m. under the observation of micro-observers and party observers. The counting is going on at the Election Commission’s office at Phool Mandi, Phase II, under tight surveillance of security forces.
The entire premise was converted into a fortification so that nothing unusual happens even by mistake. Some of the party workers were not satisfied with the arrangements made by the Election Commission and started raising slogans against the EC when counting began in the morning.
